Recipe from the kitchen of Jane & Michael Cunningham

12 Slices of bread cut into 1 inch square pieces

1 lb Sausage

¾ Cup grated cheese

6 Eggs

1 tsp mustard

3 Cups milk

 

Night Before:
Remove crust from bread & cut in to small cubes
Pre-cook sausage
Grease 9×13 baking dish and cover surface with bread, sausage and cheese.
Whip eggs, mustard, milk and pour mixture over bread, meat & cheese.
Add salt, pepper & onion to taste
Refrigerate.
Next Morning:
Preheat oven to 350. Bake 1 hour.

    I can vouch that this is a most yummy dish. It was one of Chole’s favorites to serve for brunch. It was simple, delicious and needed to be prepared the day before and slipped in the oven an hour before guests were to arrive. Served with fresh fruit and bread you had a wonderful brunch.

  2. Just checked with the authorities. The sausage has to be cooked prior to it being added to the egg mixture.
