From the kitchen of Emma Avina:

2 – Cups white flour

2 – Cups whole wheat flour

½ – tsp. Salt

2 – tsp. Baking powder

1 – tsp. cinnamon

¼ – tsp. cloves

¼ – tsp. nutmeg

2 – tsp. Anise

¾ – Cup Sugar

3 /4 – Cup Crisco

Warm water

 

Mix all the dry ingredients well.  With your hands blend in the Crisco.  Add warm water as needed to make dough soft.

 

Bake at 400 degrees until brown (approximately 10 to 15 minutes).
